The nation’s capital gets ready to throw down this weekend, as local band NEW SWEARS perform live at the Bourbon Room.

The group is known for their combination of fun party rhythms, upbeat rock tunes, and country inspired tracks, all held together with a summertime feel. This has proved favourable for the guys as they have developed their own brand of sound, easily identifying themselves from the rest.

Coming up in the Ottawa music scene, the four man rock group have played countless shows across the city. But the interest in the band doesn't end locally, having toured throughout the U.S., Europe, and more. Live footage and social media posts show that no matter where they go, NEW SWEARS are bringing the party with them.

“When we're onstage and the roles are reversed, we like to get the audience participating, in a way.

I guess, sometimes, that leads to what people call 'stunts,' where we end up doing some acrobatic work or gymnastics or stuff like that.”
