CHANCE FOR CHANGE

 March 30. 2017

Influencing a local business, Wicker Park’s Alliance Bakery is putting Chance’s movement onto cookies and into the mouths of locals. One dollar from every cookie sold goes to Chance’s non-for profit Social Works, a program whose mission is dedicated to empowering youth and providing a safe and creative space outside of school.

The artist’s impact has gone much further than his hometown, by sending out a “call to action" to businesses around the country. His efforts have received a positive response worldwide, and this is only the beginning.

Two-time Grammy winner, Chance the Rapper recently made a generous donation as an attempt to save and improve Chicago Public schools. With one million dollars donated, Chance is already making a huge hometown impact.

Raised in Chicago himself, Chance recognizes the effects of recent budget cuts to arts and after school programs in the public school system. Chicago children can have difficulty thriving in schools where resources and funding have been cut so deeply, and so unfairly.
